In a Hole... Help Me Back Up!

Hey everyone, Drew back here. I've had a rough past few weeks, starting school, and all that. I've been getting a lot of homework, and the only thing I've been thinking about is involving school. I get a package in the mail, open it, look once, put them to the side, scan them, and post them. That's just how it's been for me lately. I've stalled on a lot of things including the contest packages (sent 2, out of bubble mailers, I'll have the rest out soon), through the mails (I did just send 2 pictures out yesterday though), and trade packages. I guess I'm just losing interest in all this right now.

I watch videos of breaks like I've always done, and now, I look to see whats there, and I don't even bother watching. I still read all your blogs, and I love to read them, but something's just not clicking right now. I've got a cold, and my sister's been very sick, and everyone around my house has been completely stressed out. I still get really excited for through the mails, but posting is once again becoming a chore.

I hope this funk I'm in is over soon, because right now, I've got more readers than ever, and I'm sorry I haven't had the interest to entertain you guys lately. Any ideas? I might just take a few weeks off of posting, I think it could really help me, and then when I come back you'll have plenty to read.

See Ya for a while everybody

Drew

  1. HI Drew,

We all go through this from time to time. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. There's certainly nothing wrong with taking a week or two to get your other stuff in order.

I'm typically very busy every week and don't have a lot of time, but I like to post at least one new post every day. I've started scheduling my posts. I'll take a day I have a little extra time (typically Sunday) and do 4-5 posts to use for the upcoming week and I'll fill in the other days with shorter posts. I also scan everything on Sunday so I have a large amount of new stuff to post about at my finger tips.

Also, no need to think you have to entertain anyone because then it does feel like a chore. Just have fun sharing your passion for sports and your collection.

Good luck with everything and Happy Collecting!!!

  2. I had the blooging blahs from about July till September. Work, boring releases, etc. it will pass.
Maybe try mixing in an anecdote from school with a card post. We were all in school once, and reading a story about the kid that got a wedgie in gym might bring back a funny memory for someone.
    Peace.

  4. Take your time and when you feel like it, post something fun for you. The Yankees playoff run is a good place to start. Good luck.

  5. Drew,
You know I love your stuff. It definitely helped me when I took a little time off, and no one would think any less of you if you did. There is very little product coming out, as far as new stuff, so I think any collector/blogger would understand. I'm running out of stuff to talk about, myself, and we all know how much I love to talk... Don't feel bad, bro. Take some time off, help your parents with your sister and come back when you feel like it.
