Clearing some things up and Yankee talk!

Hey guys, Drew back here. You do notice I haven't posted much, but to let you all know, I have a time limit like I've mentioned before, plus school, so for the most part I don't have too much time. Right now I'm focusing on my Cano & Swisher wantlists and have a good 1/2 of Cano and most of Swisher to go. Yes I am reading blogs, forums, watching Youtube (Triple Threads looks better than ever) but my blog posting time has escaped. Today, I will try to clear some things up so you don't have any questions about these things.

Some things have really died down over here. One thing that seemed to be a fan favorite has definitely been dead, the Baseball Card Hall of Fame (BCHOF)! We have elected 6 cards so far, and we need a 7th! So far we've elected: 1909 T-206 Honus Wagner, 1952 Mantle, 1989 UD Griffey, 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth, 1954 Aaron, and a 51 Bowman Willie Mays. LEAVE A COMMENT ON WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE BECOME THE NEXT INDUCTEE INTO THE BASEBALL CARD HALL OF FAME! REMEMBER, 3 VOTES FOR THE SAME CARD INDUCTS IT!!!

*This paragraph has been removed due to the stupidity of this young blogger. Thanks*

Lastly, the Yanks need one more to get to the World Series! I've been a baseball follower since 2004, and that was a horrific year for me. Since then they haven't done anything, but this year, after all the new signings and players, 1 MORE GAME!!!

As for the Rivera thing, I think it's just a coincidence he spit on the ball, I'd like to actually see the pitch he threw afterwards, see if it looked any different than those famous 3 pitches he throws. I watch Yankee games every night just about (when I'm not busy) and I never have seen Rivera do that. Maybe he just learned it? I'm just as clueless as you are, but I know like I did to Offy after Ortiz & Manny got juiced, all you guys want to do is to find loopholes, like my teachers say. And that's alright, it's natural, but I'll have you know this had to be the 1st time he's ever done it, if not, just a coincidence. Alright time to eat, no pictures on this post as it is truly sad enough to not need them. Just read, don't look at the pictures, like I do in a rush! :)

And remember to please leave a comment for what card you want to be inducted in the BCHOF, remember 3 VOTES to be inducted. Pick a card, leave a comment, and hope for the best! As for the awards, be sure to vote on the upcoming poll, as it refers to the original, DREWSCARDS AWARDS! Thanks, and see ya!

  1. Drew thanks for the update and all... It sounds like your feelings are hurt over the blogger awards thing. Here is my 2 cents. I don't think that I was following your blog back in August, I know I never read that post. It is a great post. I like the idea of blogger awards and you tried to make it happen. I have read it mentioned in passing on other blogs, too. I still think it is a good idea, but I also think it needs the energy of several bloggers to track info, send e-mails, etc in order to actually make it happen. My biggest worry is blogger's feelings being hurt, it seems like that has happened to you already. The problem with a blogger award post where people comment publically is that everyone can see who they voted for. Therefore more feelings get hurt. Your blog is great, but like mine,it has a limited following. If someone can get across to people who wouldn't read my blog or yours, it gets a better idea of what the entire blog-osphere think and not just what a reader of a specific blog thinks. Plus, it is private voting in private e-mails. I know what my favorite blogs are, but I would never type that in a public comment, because there are a lot of great blogs that I really like and I wouldn't want to slight them. I don't know if I am getting my point across, but I hope I am just a little. I enjoy your blog even though I hate the Yankees and I feel bad that this happened in such a way as to upset you. Cheers and happy collecting!

  2. A Ted Williams needs to be in there somewhere. Some candidates:

    1941 Play Ball
    1954 Bowman
    1955 or 1956 Topps

  3. Yeah, thanks Troll, it's not like that though sort of. Some of the awards I do are based on entertainment, some based on products, and some based on bloggers. What I originally planned on doing was have people email me about the bloggers, so it'd be between you and me. My feelings aren't really hurt, because it may not be his fault. Just the way he did didn't make me happy. And btw, nothing on you at all, I understand. Thanks!

But please if you have an issue with me please address it the right way.... don't call me out like that on your blog then i have people emailing me that you have an issue with me, it's not the right way to go about things. 2nd thing if it means that much to you, you can do the awards i just taught it would be a fun idea for all blogger to take part in. If i hurt your feeling, then i'm sorry..... like i said i had no idea that you had plan this far ahead.... from this point on i'm removing myself from the awards altogether and letting you take over.... Thanks!

  8. I really want the Shoeless Joe Jackson Cracker Jack card to make it in there. But Ted Williams is deserving, too. So, I'll go with the '64 Bowman of Teddy.

  9. No wicked, I'm sorry for some of the stuff I wrote, I just had to do it for the sake of my blog. Go ahead and keep up with the awards if you want, but I think your blog idea may not work. Let me know your email, and we could sort of team up and put up polls and have people send emails to both of us. All of your panel may work too, I already have an entire list of awards I came up with the day it came out. We just sort of have to put things in place and we could make this work. All I was asking was for you to respond, I probably should've waited a little longer for a response or tried to dig out your email. Look, it was my fault for calling you out, since you didn't know, well you didn't know. It's not your fault, and don't take it the wrong way. I'll put together a post explaining an apology and I'll say not to drive you crazy, it's not your fault and I'm sorry. Drew

  13. Drew,
Keep it up man, we're all still reading.

I nominate the 1955 Topps Ted Williams. If it makes it, I have a picture of one you can use for your blog buddy. Also, the awards was and still is a great idea, and I agree with Collective Troll.

Lets hype it up some more, maybe the two of you (Drew and Wicked) can work together.

Finally, Drew, after Monday, my 'special' post should be up; Im going somewhere awesome on Monday with my brother, and I'll definitely post about it as quick as I can, just cross your fingers that I get to do what Im on a mission to do there, haha.
