3 Awesome Autos from Anthony!

Hey everyone, Drew back here, starting up school for the week, but I should have some stuff up while I can. Anthony, as you know by now, has done a lot for me, and he's a heck of a guy, and I just wanted to share my latest loot from him. I'd rather help guys I know out selling things than just buying things, if that makes sense. Well, here are the 3 autos I took off his hands this time:

Al Oliver
First, you all know, I'm a fan of Al Oliver's, not only because he was the first player I was able to meet for free in my life, and he was a great guy, but because he was a great player who was very underrated and still is. Anthony obtained this auto the same day I got some autos of him myself, August 16th, 2009. What a great day. The last awesome thing about this is that it's his rookie card, a card I've wanted for a while. I was eventually going to drop $4 or so on one, but now $1 more and it's signed!

Mike Mussina
One of my favorite Yankees pitchers must've signed for the former Met fan in the past, which is cool. I love this Bowman Heritage card, I even wondered if I should send again to Mike to get it signed. But apparently he hasn't been signing much lately. Which is a shame, since he was a great signer. I hope he makes the Hall of Fame, I really do, he was an incredible pitcher in his prime for sure, and even in his final season, winning 20 games for the first and last time!

Jim Thome
Okay, I don't know how the heck Anthony got Thome back TTM, because as far as I know, I thought he never signed! Well, his auto sure is sloppy, but for the price I paid, a near 600 home run guy, totally worth it.

Thanks again Anthony, you're an awesome dude! Please everybody help him clear out his TTM auto collection, I guarantee it's all authentic, from TTM's, and there's some great stuff left to take, for a very low price! I paid $10 for this lot! See Ya!

White Plains Card Show Recap Part III

Hey guys, Drew back here again, here is part 3 of the show recap.

PART 3:
Random Finds

My dad got me a bunch of stuff at the show, and most of this is from him. Really cool stuff, here goes...

First off is a 1991 Donruss "The Rookies" set, which contains all rookies and 1 puzzle.

The main highlights in it were rookies of Luis Gonzalez, Ivan Rodriguez, Jeff Bagwell, and Chuck Knoblauch. The puzzle was of Willie Stargell, and it was pretty nice overall. I think he got it for like $2 so in my opinion, thats like a steal.

Next is another complete set he got me for cheap, a 1983 Donruss Hall of Fame Heroes set. That is the name of my custom card set so that's pretty cool, but I can't touch the amazingness of these cards! The picture just shows the highlights, there were about 40 cards in the set. My favorite has to be the Hank Aaron though, what a cool card!

Most of these except one were from dad too. The Nolan Ryan is very nice and was cheap, and so was the Seaver, although the seller said it was a 30 dollar card. Sure, and the world is gonna end in 2012. WTF? The Hank is really nice too, never saw it before and I must say I never heard of Topps HD. Lastly, that Griffey is just a great card, sweeeeeeeeet! I bought the Heyward for $6, because I needed one of him. I have him on my fantasy team and I'm hoping he has a great career. I may very soon start getting more of him too.

Finally, from dad, a beautiful 1991 Bowman Jim Thome rookie graded 10! Sure, it's a USA graded card, but a Hall of Fame great condition Thome rookie for $2 is a steal!

Part 4 coming soon... See Ya!

Hall of Fame Mailday

Hey guys, Drew back here, got a trade in from the Sports Card Forum. I make a ton of trades on that site, and it really pays off. Here is what I got for jersey cards of Hunter Pence and Craig Biggio:

2009 Topps Chrome X-Fractor Hideki Matsui
My 1st X-Fractor from 2009 Topps Chrome, and it's nice. It stinks to see Matsui as an Angel but at least he's not a Met or Red Sox player. I've always thought x-fractors had a cool design and although it's been a little overused I still find it pretty cool.

2009 Topps Unique Joba Chamberlain Red Parallel /1199
Another pretty nice card of a player whose cards are worth too much but isn't bad overall. Joba is young and his value is a little too high but I like him and I hope he does a good job wherever the Yankees put him. I see him as the Yankees next closer after Rivera, if they don't trade him, that is. This is a pretty cool card from one of the least popular releases of 2009, Topps Unique. The design is cool but the concept is stale. Aren't the same cards in Triple Threads?

2008 Topps Heritage Andy Pettitte Chrome Refractor /559
This is a really nice card, best out of the 3 shown so far. Pettitte has always been my favorite lefty and he has left a great legacy in New York. Although he admitted to using HGH, I forgive him and I think if he plays more years and gets up there in wins that people may talk about him as a Hall of Famer. Topps Heritage has done an amazing job the past few years with their sets, and this card does not disappoint.

2009 SPX Winning Materials Quad Jersey
Jermaine Dye/Jim Thome/Nick Swisher/Ken Griffey Jr.
Now this is one of my favorite Swisher relics in my PC, especially because of the men on the right side of the card. This is my 1st Griffey Jr. relic and I'm really happy to have 1, he's by far the greatest player of the 90's decade and one of the Top 5 in the 2000's as well. If only he avoided injuries, he may be the best of all time. Overall, the design is nice, and I think SPX was one of the best sets of the year in all honesty. I've opened many packs and pulled many hits!

See Ya!
