A Few Recent Trades

Hey guys, Drew back here. I got 3 packages in recently, and I guess you can consider them all trades although I haven't been all that active in the trade world due to schoolwork lately. Might as well get to it now, the first trade was with Max of Knuckle Ball Blues. Max has been caught up with a lot of schoolwork lately as well, but me and him were able to work out a nice little trade. I sent him one of my 3 Billingsley TTM autos and got these in return:

3 2010 Topps Pro Debut cards. This set kinda bores me a little, although I do like the Yankees and Renegades. The cards are nice though, being the 1st taste of the product so far for me. We got Austin Romine, Adam Warren, and a blue border Jesus Montero numbered out of 369. Very nice stuff though!

Yes that would be a Topps Pro Debut Jesus Montero sticker autograph! Jesus is one of the Yankees top prospects and I have 2 of his autograph cards now! I think he has the potential to play for us next year, maybe as a backup, but then take over as the starting catcher in the future! I'm definitely psyched to get this card, thanks Max!

Next I made a trade with Rhubard Runner of “é rayhahn, rayhahn". Him and I have tried to work out trades in the past but they haven't worked out right, until now. Check out my part of the trade:

First, a bunch of Yankees inserts, including 4 2009 Topps gold cards (Phil Hughes, Mark Melancon, Jerry Hairston Jr., and Brett Gardner), and 2 2010 Topps gold cards (Jeter/Andrus, Swisher Home Run Derby!), including a Swisher for the PC! Also got an orange refractor of Nick Johnson from Topps Chrome, which is a very nice card despite the player.

The meat of this trade were these 2 relics. First, a Jason Giambi jersey from 2009 SP Legendary Cuts. Giambi is pictured as a Yankee on this card but it says Athletics everywhere, a collectors pet peeve. I don't like that personally, but the card is nice and I sure miss the stache!

The second relic is of my homeboy, Nick Swisher! This card is from 2009 Upper Deck Goudey, which in my opinion was a boring ripoff of the 2007 set. But this card is fairly nice, it says Yankees as the team but he is pictured as a White Sox player, unfortunately, considering he played his worst year in the MLB with them.

Thanks so much Rhubard Runner! On to the last one, which was a very small trade that I almost forgot about (sorry!), which turned into a much larger and nicer trade! Jeremy of "no one's going to read this blog" sent me a bunch of sweet stuff with a special surprise!

First, some 2010 Topps set needs, and a 2010 Bowman Chrome card of Yankees prospect Corban Joseph, who I haven't heard of before. Not much super special to write home about here, but a definite thanks for helping with the set!

That wasn't all however! He also included a bunch of Jets including a few Panini Adrenalyn cards, which actually are pretty cool looking! Also included was a nice chrome Cotchery card from 2009 Topps Chrome, a sweet Sanchez from 2010 Epix, and a Cotchery blue refractor from 2007 Topps Finest numbered out of 299! This card is sweet!

Jeremy has a certain talent, and he likes to share it with other collectors! He is a great artist, and he made me this sketch card himself of Robinson Cano!

I can't describe how awesome this is! I'm glad to add this 1/1 sketch card to my collection! Thanks SO much Jeremy!

Thanks again to everyone mentioned in this post! See Ya!

Swishalicious-ish Mailday

Hey everyone, Drew back here. Just when I post my mail, I get more mail! While it's a pain to post, I still absolutely love to find yellow bubble mailers in the mailbox! Ok, so today, I'm gonna show you some stuff I got from Jeremy (no one's going to read this blog), a package from Mike (BA Benny's Baseball Card Buffet), and one eBay purchase to close it out. We'll start with what Jeremy sent me.

First off some Yankees, including 2 of the Action Packed Yankees of Bobby Murcer and Bobby Richardson. A CC Topps Attax, and 3 2010 Allen & Ginters, 2 for the Yankees collection (Swisher, Joba) and one for the set (Cano).

This is 8 of about 15 1980 Topps cards that Jeremy sent. I thought I had a ton of this set but I actually needed around three quarters of them. This is a nice set, someday I may attempt to collect this whole set.

Next are some cards I needed for my set. William sent me the Billingsley, so it's for trade for another one I need for the set. I just don't wanna look at the Utley though, even though we won, he killed us in that series.

He included a few Jets too, which was cool, can never have enough Jets, I don't have a ton. The Pat Leahy card is really cool and I like the look of the Erik Ainge Future Franchise card. Too bad Score didn't know Mark Sanchez would soon join the team!

Lastly, 3 Shonn Greene cards. I'm really excited to see how this guy does this year, I have a feeling LT won't get much playing time! 3 needed rookies to add to my mini Greene collection, sweet. Thanks so much Jeremy, your cards are going out tomorrow!

From BA Benny, I got this 2005 Bowman Heritage Nick Swisher rookie card, which is a nice addition to the PC! I gotta say though, it's a pretty ugly looking card, the pic is blurry, but whatever, still any Swisher I need is a good Swisher!

In another 1 for 1 trade with him, I landed this 2007 Topps Nick Swisher jersey card. The swatch is green, which adds to the niceness of the card, I'm getting really sick of white/gray swatches all the time. But yeah, another sick Swisher to add. Thanks Mike!!!

And lastly, I picked up this ripped rip card of Nick Swisher from 2010 Allen & Ginter off eBay for $15 shipped. Not a terrible price, wished it was lower, but I figured, it's only numbered to 50, 3/4 of these rips that will land on eBay are going to be unripped, selling for $75 plus. Only a few ripped versions will show up, so I figured the earlier the better. The seller ripped off the ENTIRE back of the card though, so it looks pretty horrible. I did a nice job with my David Ortiz rip card, it stayed in nice shape after the rip and I didn't have to tear off the back of the card. It kinda sucks but what can you do. Nice card to own.

Thanks again everyone, and See Ya!

Catching Up, Mail, & Other Forms of Card Related Material

Hey guys, Drew back here, and after a long and exhausting week of doctors appointments, after school activities (track), and tests galore I finally am done. Tomorrow is the big day, certainly can't wait to go meet Mr. Mattingly and spend over 100 bucks on packs and singles. Life is Good! Anyway, time to finish my catching up. I won a contest over at Baseball Card Stuff recently, unfortunately since he is a new blogger, I was the only person to enter. I wanted him to redo it and have me give him a shoutout but he said no, and he sent me the cards. Also, I still didn't post some of the singles dad got me for Christmas, there were some awesome ones. Lastly, since dad went down for a week in North Carolina for a family matter, one of his relatives gave me some old cards! All those groups I listed are in the video below, so watch it. NOW!!!

PLEASE CHECK OUT BASEBALL CARD STUFF!!!!!

Thanks again to all of you in that video. Next we have a couple cards I bought off Check Out My Cards, my second purchase off the site so far, and a third one is in the process. Yes, go to that website, but, please ask permission to buy Cano or Swisher cards for yourselves, :). Here's what I got (btw, I also purchased some cards for a few others, if you've seen some cards of mine on other blogs lately):

2009 Allen & Ginter Black Border Cano
This is a really nice card, and I'm making progress towards that 2009 Allen & Ginter rainbow, still need the mini, A&G Back, and no numbered card /99. Maybe that will change by the end of tomorrow.

2007 UD Masterpieces Yogi Berra/Jackie Robinson
Yes! This is the LAST card I need for the 2007 Masterpieces set! And what an awesome set this is! In my opinion the best designed card set of the 2000's, Allen & Ginter in second. And this is a cool card, even though Jackie really was out! Maybe some time I'll show off this set, like I did with the 08 Heroes set a while back! Remember that?

2008 Leaf Limited Joe Klecko Team Trademarks /999 Insert 2009 Donruss Gridiron Gear NFL Teams Joe Klecko Autograph /119
The 1st card is from a high end football set and isn't anything great, but it does have a good picture. Klecko was a former Pro Bowl defensive lineman, and was my dad's favorite player! When he came home from NC, he was surprised to see this! I love the autographed card because not only is it one of my fave sets over the years, but the Jets helmet is rubbery, so it's unique. Unfortunately it's a sticker auto, but I'll have to live with it.

Lastly on the agenda, some cards I got from Jeremy from "no one's going to read this blog", a very negative based title if you ask me, considering he has a good following. We recently completed a trade and shortly after I got my cards, another little package was waiting for me, and here are the goodies:

Group 1: Mixed Yanks/Jets
Some cool mixed cards from over the years, the Phil Hughes RC being my favorite, my 1st of that card. I also like those 2 Jets from Leaf Rookies and Stars 2008, very cool!

Group 2: Almost the entire 2009 Topps Updates & Highlights Yanks Team Set
I sure love the 2009 Topps base set, and I needed a good chunk of these! Sweet! I really like the Posada Season Highlights and the Mariano Rivera 500th Save card.

Group 3: Mark Teixeira Fun!
Other than the creepy "Game?Used Memorabilia" card of him and a Allen & Ginter game used from Ryan's Memorabilia, I don't have much of Teixeira. Well, until Jeremy sent me a Topps Updates & Highlights base card, the propaganda card, AND a gold card /2009! Cool.

2009 UD Rookie Premiere Shonn Greene RC
Simply. Awesome. Period. I love the photo on the card and it is I think my 4th or 5th Greene rookie. I'd like to add an auto to that list tomorrow.

Thanks Jeremy and everyone else in this long and dreary catching up post! See Ya! Wish me luck tomorrow!

Big Mailday!

Hey guys, Drew back here. I haven't posted much lately because I have been focused mainly on school, and really haven't had much time for cards. I'm looking to catch up on stuff for everyone that I owe, plus get some cards for my friend for his birthday, plus work on my own PC. I actually have become interested in other Yankees lately, especially due to some rumors that Swisher could get traded. I also want to get the Granderson rookie card since he was just added to the team. Honestly, I don't want the Yanks getting Halladay because I don't want guys like Swisher, Cabrera, Gardner, Cervelli, or Jesus Montero's jobs in jeopardy, and don't forget Hughes & Joba. So, anyway, here is some of the mail I've gotten recently. Some sweet stuff in there, be sure to check it out!

Smaller Wantlist:

Need these!!!!

2009 Allen & Ginter Sketch Card 2 (Griffey Jr.)
2007 UD Masterpieces Cards #16, 54, 67
Curtis Granderson RC
Any Cano/Swisher Topps 206/Topps Unique/Goodwin/Sp Authentic/Ticket to Stardoms
