A Wonderful Hall of Fame Autograph Surprise from JP's Sports!

Hey guys, Drew back here! So, about a month ago in the Long Island National card show, JP's Sports organized a large 1986 Mets World Series reunion show, featuring about 32 Mets players, plus Ralph Kiner and Bill Buckner. While most of the players are often attainable, one player lately hasn't been so attainable. Over the past year, he's suffered through a severe case of brain cancer, and has scared the baseball world with his survival chances. Fortunately, he is somehow recovering from the awful disease, and was doing well enough to sign at the show. Unfortunately, he cancelled about a week before the show, because while he was doing well, he wasn't ready to go to the signing. At that point, my card was off in the mail order, so it was too late.

Somehow, a week ago I received a special surprise in the mail...

It looks like the mail order items were able to be signed by "The Kid", Gary Carter! And, while it does have a little bit of a smearing issue, it sure does look great! You can tell Carter's signature is a little shaky but I'm so lucky and fortunate I was able to pick this one up for the collection! It was worth every penny for sure!

Before I go I want to wish Mr. Carter the best of luck on his battle with cancer. Cancer is the devil, and I really hope someday soon a cure will be discovered. Watching someone suffer with it is depressing and gives you images in your head you will never forget.

Also, a big thank you to my good friends at JP's Sports and Rock Solid Promotions for the help getting this autograph! See Ya!

Some Custom Mail from Cam!

Hey guys, Drew back here. Nothing like being sick on the first day of school. It's like making a kill joy even more of a kill joy, so you can imagine how excited and happy I am right now. Anyways, my good buddy Cam, of Collectable Cards, hooked me up recently with an awesome looking card. Check it out:

Yep, Cam made me a custom card of one of my favorite Yankees, Robinson Cano! It's very tough to afford Cano's cards now that he can be considered the best hitter on one of the biggest offensive teams in baseball, but there's still one way to add new Cano cards, and that is in custom cards! This one definitely has a unique look to it, one that I haven't seen used before, but I like it! I would definitely like to see more of the set, the new set Cam is working on, because I think he has some good talent with customs and I'm really happy he chose me to send his first one to.

So, thank you so much Cam, I really appreciate this!

See Ya!

TTM #38- The Show I Watch Every Morning

Hey guys, Drew back here. With 1 more day of midterms, I may finally get back on track! Although I got an unbelievable TTM success today, I'm a little behind, so first I must share the previous success I got back! Check it out:

Yes, that is indeed a dual autographed card of Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, the two ESPN analysts on "Mike and Mike in the Morning"! I made this custom card of the them one day due to the fact that I love their show, and I thought it would look amazing signed by the two. I imagined how cool it would be to own their autos, so I wrote a letter to them, and pretty much took a shot in the dark.

However, about 70 days after the card was shipped out, I got it back! And not only did it come out signed, it came out signed NICELY! Golic inscribed "ESPN 2" and Greeny had a solid signature as well. No bent corners, not weird spots on them, nothing. Perfection. I love it.

Anyway, if you haven't checked out "Mike and Mike in the Morning" and you can actually stand watching ESPN every once in a while, I highly recommend it for good interviews and analysis to start your morning off everyday. Nothing like 2 knuckleheads yelling back and forth at each other to get you pumped for the big day at work!

Thanks Mike & Mike! See Ya!

New Football Customs

Hey guys, Drew back here, with some new football customs I made. What do you think?

I'm planning on making more for future TTM's, just wondering how you all thought they came out. It's gonna to be current and former players, and if I like it enough it may become a future baseball set too.

See Ya!

Even more of a custom card update

Hey guys, Drew back here, I went to a party today (somehow, we have about 2 feet of snow over here), and it was pretty fun. I made one more custom before I left, for a TTM I'm gonna send really soon, maybe next week sometime, to this guy:

After emailing William from foul bunt, I made a decision. I will only put the fronts on the cards when they are mailed, and if I get back the back of the card will be added. The back makes it sound like it will be for sale or something, and I don't want to make it seem like the player is signing for a company. Hopefully this makes for better success! So, I'm gonna make 1 or 2 more tomorrow, than I'll print a few more! See Ya!

Bob Feller Custom Finished!

Hey guys, as Spring Training is here, I am piled in snow. On my driveway we must have at least 8-11 inches of snow, and we've had no school for 3 straight days! Since we don't get winter recess here in NY, this is a nice treat! Anyway, I've spent a lot of the time in the snow or working on customs. I'm preparing many trades and TTM's to ship out, getting pretty close to the first 330 2010 Topps cards, I think I still need about 30 though. I got a lot of doubles in the box from my blaster. Anyway, on the post below this (or on the sidebar), the cards not in red are still available for trade, and I made my wantlists a lot neater, so check that out for a really easy way to see what I need. My 2010 Topps wantlist looks like a checkers game, you'll see when you're looking for cards I need! Anyway, I wanted to show you all how the custom Hall of Fame Heroes cards are coming out, I'm gonna start sending them as soon as I'm done! I started printing them yesterday, so first check out the cards, the fronts are printed but the backs aren't yet:

Bob Feller

Andre Dawson

Stan Musial

I used plain white dummy cards to make it thick, I have a bunch of them, and they look great! I used double sided tape (mom helped me with this card making experience, thanks again mom!), and stuck the card to the dummy. Two of the cards are not perfect, but the Musial came out perfect!

Backs

The Plain white back, soon to be covered in pictures like this:

Feller Back

My signature will be in between the "Congratulations" paragraph and my name, like Richard P. McWilliam, or whatever the heck his name is. By the way, I'm sending in the Dye "no relic" card for a replacement, Upper Deck finally got back to me.

Any advice is needed! I'm gonna make a few more now, starting with the Dawson back though! See Ya!

P.S. If you request one, I'll do my best to try to make one for you, if not you can feel free to use the pictures I used, just save them or something! Later.

New Custom Card!

Add this to the custom cards:

Yep, the 2 guys that are related to the poll and my last post, Lincecum and Matt Cain. I think this one came out really good, what do you think?

Also keep voting for the next card in the Baseball Card Hall of Fame. 3 Votes so far: 2 for the Joe Jackson, and 1 for the 1955 Willie Mays. Pick something and post it on the last post on the BCHOF. Thanks
