T...Yeah, they actually are the Baseball Talk cards. They don't seem to have any CD's on the back though. I've heard of them but didn't realize those were them. Thanks for the observation guys!Drewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17224880509770382577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238534532864885518.post-84364507119044027182011-03-07T00:08:40.651-05:002011-03-07T00:08:40.651-05:00Fuji: I was just about to comment and say the same...Fuji: I was just about to comment and say the same thing about those '89s. I just found both my cards and my player while going through stuff over my vacation. I haven't swapped out the batteries yet to see if it still works, but it would be awesome if it did.Offyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14528345612847787915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238534532864885518.post-60361924690151342932011-03-06T22:27:24.805-05:002011-03-06T22:27:24.805-05:00Holy smokes... that's one great collection. L...Holy smokes... that's one great collection. Late 80's and early 90's stuff might be a little over produced... but after all these years, I'm starting to appreciate them all over again.

Pro Set's first three releases in FB were awesome... I'm actually thinking about buying some of these cheap boxes and building a set.

Oh... and those 1989 Topps Big cards... check the card backs. They look like a product called Topps LJN Baseball Talk. People who had these cards and the card player (a radio thing-a-majiggy) could hear little stories from the player and a narrator (I know one of them was Don Drysdale).

If you type in 1989 Topps LJN Baseball Talk, you should be able to find sample clips.

Nice pickups... thanks for sharing.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.com
